Here I am...

One year ago this month I was prophesied over, being told that God said for you to Write, Write, Write.  Apostle Ndifon was standing there telling me that you have a lot of stories in you and you need to write them.  I have to tell you that this took me by surprise.  

People around me said, yep that is Joela.  I was confused, couldn't understand why anyone would think this.    I truly thought my calling would be something with crafting, after all that is what I am good at.  Or even some kind of creative computer work.  Writing?!?!?

Then I had to remember, well God is the one who told me to write.  God gave me all my talents so why not writing?!?!?  As I laid in bed that night talking to Him (like I had never done before!)  

Joela:  God are you sure about my calling?

God:  Yes child.

Joela:  But I am not qualified to do that.

God:  You do it all the time.

Joela: I do?

God: Yes child you do! (He showed me)

Joela: That is just me goofing off; I wouldn’t know how to be serious about it.  I wouldn’t know where to start.

God:  You already have started.  (Then he proceeded to show my how I have started my journey to my destiny and reminded me of a book I have that I haven’t picked up in 12 or so years.)  Whoa....how could I forget the dream of wanting to write?!?! 

Needless to say I started laughing, crying and shaking.  I have never heard God the way I did that night.  The whole night I was laughing, crying, and shaking as if I was cold but I was overwhelmed with joy I just shook!  

Well a year has past and frankly all I haven't written a thing unless you count posting on facebook, which I don't.  Well a couple things have been Holy Spirit inspired so I guess those have to count for something. 

For the year 2013, I am dedicating it to God.  I have 3 goals this year, 1 to be closer to God, 2 for ministry growth and 3 to write something. 

This blog is to be a catalyst to start the writing.  Even if it is just weekly or when the Holy Spirit has something to say, I am going to write.
